I've discovered why I love RPing again. School's going well. I'm managing to sleep properly. My classes aren't killing me despite the intense busyness that's already struck and I still have enough One Piece anime to keep my entertained for WEEKS.
I swear I'm shipping everything on the face of the planet though.
Which means I wrote a random gen fic? HAHA. Here. Random fic attack.
Title: Addiction
Rating: PG/PG-13. Smoking. You know. America's silly about it. Otherwise it's basically G.
Characters: Sanji and Luffy
Word Count: 461
Summary: Sanji needs smokes and Luffy tries to eat everything in sight. As usual.
Spoilers: Sanji smokes? Luffy eats? Nothing, really.
Sanji was minding his own business in the galley rolling a supply of make-shift cigarettes. He PREFERRED the pre-rolled sort because they required far less effort but it had been WEEKS since they’d made a port and with all the idiots they kept running into in the middle of the damned ocean he’d understandably run out.
Which is exactly why he kept a stock of dried tobacco and rolling papers tucked away where Chopper hopefully wouldn’t see him and lecture him over how much worse they were for him and whatever else.
Once an addict, always an addict. And Zoro might end up dead from some sort of poison slipped in his food if he went too long without his cigarettes.
“SAAAAANJI! Is it lunch time yet?!” Luffy, naturally, had the stomach clock of something incredibly retarded. It was only 10 o’clock.
“No. And get out of my kitchen, you aren’t sneaking anything.” Sanji barely looked up from the task at hand and didn’t notice that instead of doing as he was told, his eternally hungry captain had decided to sit down across from him and WATCH his progress. Twenty down, he’d need at least three times that before they reached the next island and god help him if they didn’t sell his damn cigarettes. He’d even settle for SHITTY ones instead of doing this. They just didn’t taste the same. And liked to attempt to come unrolled at inopportune moments. And didn’t come in a convenient little box.
“I’m bored. What are you doing?” Luffy peered over the little barrel-like thing of tobacco to watch Sanji work.
“Cigarettes. I’m out.” Sanji sighed. CLEARLY he wasn’t going away like he should be. “Stay away from the fridge. You still have two hours before lunch and if I don’t finish this it will be even longer.”
Luffy pouted but was undeterred as ever. “What’s this?” he asked, poking the mini-barrel.
“Tobacco leaves.”
“Can I eat it?”
“No.” But before the word was even properly formed, Luffy was out the door and spitting the tobacco over the railing into the sea with much disgust. The sounds of spitting could probably be heard even by Sea Kings lounging near the ocean floor.
“SANJIIII THAT IS NOT GOOD FOR EATING IT’S SO GROSS!”
Sanji rolled his eyes and paused his working long enough to dig a cherry lollipop out of a hidden and almost-forgotten drawer before Luffy returned. Which he did about five seconds later.
“I TOLD you it wasn’t for eating!” Sanji berated, giving up and lighting one of his newly rolled cigarettes before he’d finished.
Luffy pouted.
Sanji handed him the lollipop.
As long as Sanji had his cigarettes and the Luffy could be quieted with lollipops, all was right in the world.
I love random ficbunies. XD Especially when they're nice and SHORT.
