-Poor Nickel has had a runny eye for a few days so we took her to the vet, and she has cat pink eye. She also has teeth issues so we have to take her back in two weeks for an overnight stay to get her teeth cleaned (bad teeth may be pulled, but he's hopeful there aren't bad ones). I used to always make fun of over emotional moms when they took their kids to get shots, but then I had to put eye drops in my cat's eye. It's awful. Kelly had to help hold her while she hissed and growled at both of us. Twice a day for a week. Ugh! The vet makes it look much easier than it is to put in eye drops for a cat. "You just gently tilt her head back, and..." Yeah, sure you do. Can you send home the two vet techs that assisted you? We take Dimitri soon. I hope he doesn't have to have his teeth cleaned too because my wallet can't take much more.
-I recently ordered one of those large tunic/dress type of shirts to go with some new skinny black jeans I bought. Unfortunately, it's a little too large. It looks like I'm wearing a tent, and it isn't flattering at all. That one gets sent back. Bummer. The skinny jeans on the other hand are high waisted, and they're wonderful. I'm cursed with no ass so the best thing that ever happend to me was a pair of high waisted jeans. Usually, if I don't wear a belt, I have problems with gaps in the seat, etc. I wish I would've searched for only high waisted jeans for years.
-Some of you on lj might have missed this, but I'm proud to be a part of
this published soon by
AK Press.
-I had my lap band relased a bit yesterday so I can eat like a normal human being at our wedding in November. I'm down 21 lbs.
-A new Avett Brothers album in October. What perfect timing. Here's a
song premiere from it.
-My Mom is the best! After wishing desperately for my Grandmother's Watergate Salad/also texting Grandma to say I desperately wished for her Watergate Salad, Grandma sent Mom the recipe, and voila! The teeny marshmallows in it make it taste like eating a sweet cloud, and I love pistachio anything.
