My karma ran over your dogma
Grendal and I took my niece out to a movie yesterday, Up in CD actually. It was a great little movie despite it's sad 10 minutes during the beginning. The time with her was pretty mellow until we were driving her home and she asked what bad karma was. I was shocked; not many 7 year old kids ask about that stuff. That and I'm not too sure if my sister and brother-in-law would be too happy with me discussing these things with her, but I decided to tell her since I've already told her the Gods can speak to people through meditation. I decided to try and explain the best I could and once I told her about reincarnation she seemed to get excited. I found it cute.
Then she asked me where do dogs go when they die. O_O How the hell do talk to a child about that. I told her that I believe that all living things go to the same place. In return she told me that her mommy says dogs go some where else. I tried to explain that its what I believe and mentioned that some people believe in different things, like not everyone believes in hell. That threw her for a loop but she didn't say anything about it.
Somehow we convicned her that Grendal used to be a viking as well. I'm just wondering if she ran into the house and told her parents that he is a retired viking. O_o What the hell am I doing to my niece?
