Wow, that happened fast...
My one triathlon turned into three. noodle_nose's friend Nicole had run a triathlon before, and was interested in getting a relay group together for the Escape from The Rock. Since I don't know if I'd ever be able to finish a 1.5 mile swim OR a 7.5 mile run, I opted for the 13 mile bike portion of the relay. Yes, the route takes me through some of SF's infamous hills, but with the bike that I'll be getting, and how easy it was to take off on it, I think I should handle it fine. That's taking place August 24th, a full two weeks after the Santa Cruz triathlon. Plenty of time for recovery.
The third one really was just casually mentioned, but a triathlon takes place in September down in Pacific Grove. It looks like it's doable.
