The kids have to write journals. One talked about how he had a new english teacher that looked like Harry Potter. I wrote in the journal, If you think I look like Harry Potter you should see my brother!
When you ask the kids to draw a picture of there country they always draw North and South Korea, even the weather on TV showed if it was raining in Pyeongyang. The country definitely thinks of itself as one people.
Yesterday was my first class with teaching alone. It went pretty well. I tried to be a little bit gruff, so they would know I can be a disciplinarian. I also challenged one kid in each class to a fist fight to show my authority.
Office politics! Hurray! Good fun, but a little early to get myself too embroiled in anything.
