Narcissa's always followed the rules.
She's followed them when they hurt her, when they make her cry; she even followed them when they engaged her to wed Lucius Malfoy.
She's never known anything different.
Now, she doesn't know what exactly she's doing wrong. She's not breaking any specific rules, she knows this, but Merlin, there's got to be something written about sneaking about with that bloody Evans girl at ungodly hours of the night.
She always imagines her grandmama in her mind and thinks about the reaction she'd have if she knew what her dearest granddaughter were up to at the moment.
She doesn't think grandmama would approve of Lily.
But, then again, no one really does.
Secretly, Narcissa's always wanted to break the rules.
