im uppppdating...
So...I dont even know where to start. Ive been pretty busy so less play by play this time:
-had my bout. is was amazing. we sold out and all the MRD girls kicked sooo much ass and my team looked fuckin hott.
-switched to nights as of 7pm this very day and i cant wait to be back on a 'normal' schedule for me.
-MRD had their very first burlesque show this past Saturday. It was amazing. 3 awesome bands and an amazing DJ in addition to all our beautiful girls. I was in two skits-in one i was a naughty nurse and chased an underwear and cut-off gown clad patient around with a syringe...and i was ricky in a lucy and ricky skit which is a hell of alot hotter than it sounds. I was super nervous, threw up, cried right before the first time i went on but everything was awesome and i got alot of compliments about the acts afterwards. im just proud of myself for having the courage to get up their in so very little <3
-memphis is spoiling me. In addition to having an amazing set of friends whod do anything to help a gal out, the boys here are super awesome gentlemanly southerners. I rarely pay for drinks or meals and i get scolded if i try to open my own doors or light a cigarette...boys walk you out to your car even if they arent leaving...its all just sort of fantastic and even though im not ready to date quite yet, being the youngest, single girl in derby has definitely proved to be beneficial in meeting members of the opposite sex.
-started a party team composed of the most crucial kids i know here. since my schedule will be perfect for radicalness (3 12's at work, 2 days dedicated to derby and fridays and saturdays left for nothing but chillin hard-or the exact opposite). I am captain and, although silly, its nice to know i have a whole crew of awesome kids to call when im ready to get loose.
-I GO HOME THIS FRIDAY!!!!!!! this is the most important and amazing point on the list. I will be in Richmond, VA to reunite with my city and its fantastic inhabitants in 4 fucking days and i couldnt be more excited! I will be graduating, fauxmasing, birthday partying, mojos-ing and seeing everyone i love sooooo very much. 8 days seemed sufficient but i dont know how im going to leave come the 16th.
all in all life is amazing and i love my job and my new friends and my roller derby and i miss my family and richmond and my old friends but that balances out and i am good.
