Er, sorry, I just like pirates is all. Um, yes, this is brilliant! I love Will, living the alternative navy life and liberating boats from their previous owners. And Merlin as the bumbling first lieutenant who breaks off bits of Arthur's house, and that epilogue, brilliant! And Morgana cheerfully going off to be a pirate with Gwen, and how totally blase she is about Gwen being a girl, and her not missing her virtue at all.

This has filled me with quite a lot of glee, yes.

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. And I know how you feel about the pirates; my drafts were filled with intricate and detailed plot notes like: "BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PIRATES? MENTION PIRATES" or "AND THEN THEY RUN AWAY TO BECOME PIRATES!" As for Morgana's virtue, pffffft, she wasn't using it anyway.

This was so incredibly charming! I love how you rearranged the relationships with the characters--a lot of people just stick to the character relationships given in the show, but this retelling was wonderfully fresh. Merlin was possibly my favorite thing of this entire fic. I have no idea how he's managing to survive in the navy, but I'm rooting for him anyway.

And you can't beat PIRATES!

Merlin has probably only survived this far because for reasons he will never understand (and would probably refuse to acknowledge), Arthur actually likes having him around.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the way the relationships were set up, because that was one aspect of the fic where I kept thinking as I was writing, "I am being stupid and complicating this needlessly." But I wanted to do something that fit in with the relationships in *both* canons and basically yay! I'm really glad that worked for you. *beams*
