Feeling rotten today...
Yolanda, a colleague from the Fibromyalgia Association last week invited me to come with her to 4 Star Hotel Beatriz in Costa Teguise today for an afternoon of relaxation and massages at their Thalasso Spa Centre. Just my luck to fall ill today with my first cold this year....
Last night I felt like I had something coming on with an itchy nose, sneezing and feeling a bit "funny". Towards the end of the night I just passed out watching the X-Files and not being able to keep my eyes open anymore, at only 23.30 hours. I´m usually not tired at that time. At 01.00 hrs I woke up with the worst pounding headache, sinus ache, ear ache etc. and then waking up at 04.00 hrs it still wasn´t better, so I took a paracetamol/codein tablet. Woke up at 9.00 again feeling like shit still and I then slept on and off till 12.30 hrs.
It´s Tuesday and my day off work so I´m not just pissed off because Yolanda and I are not going to the Spa today, but because I will be spending the day in frickin bed and not even getting my shopping done (fridge is empty, damnit). If I´m still ill tomorrow, I might have to ask the neighbours to get me a few bits because I am certainly not fit to drive. Or just drag myself to the expensive, understocked Netto supermarket at the end of my alley...
This cold type illness could of course be a purely psychological stress reaction to my finally having made a dentist´s appointment for this Friday. For those who don´t know it, I have a serious dentist phobia. :(
Aside from the fibro .... I HATE BEING ILL!!!
And I´m back to bed/sofa now.

P.S.: Called Yolanda earlier and she told me she had some sort of throat infection and felt like shit today as well, so we wouldn´t go anyway. Have rescheduled the spa day for Tuesday in 2 weeks. :)
