Life Changing...
Well now I think an update is in order. First off...for those of you that don't know. My Dad had a heart attack on the morning of 11/7/05. It was right after he got to work. He said it started like really bad heart burn then it felt like his chest was going to explode and the pain started going down his arms. He called Doug...one of the guys he works with and he rushed him to the emergency room. My mom had a voice mail from him when she got to work. That was when I got my first phone call. I got woken up from a dead sleep at 8:15am to my cell phone ringing. I have my Mom and my Dad on the same ringer so I figured it was my Mom. Well, I was wrong. It was my Dad and he was calling to tell me that he was in the emergency room and that he'd had a heart attack. Well just about the that time I realized that my Mom was yelling at me on the home phone answering machine. After I called my Mom and was filled in on all that was happening I got up and went to he hospital. When I got there my Mom was outside talking to Doug. When we went inside they had moved my Dad to the Cath Lab to do an Angioplasty and put a stent in.
Now let's fast forward to the morning of 11/9/05. They had informed my Mom and I that my Dad would be able to come home this morning. At 6:12am my mom's cell phone rang and it was my Dad calling to tell us that he'd had another heart attack and was on the way back down the the Cath Lab. Well once we got to the hospital we found out that he had another heart attack and was in surgery. They put in another stent higher up on the same artery. After that was over they put him in ICU for 24 hours to watch him and make sure nothing else happened. Well it didn't and he came home on the afternoon of 11/11/05. We thought things were going well but this morning he had more chest pains and was covered from head to toe in hives with a horrible rash. My Mom called the doctor and ended up taking my Dad back to the ER. Well here we are at my update tonight. My Dad's back in the hospital until tomorrow at least. There tweaking his meds because it was finally concluded that his rash and things were side effects from the like 6 different meds he's on.
I supposed I can focus on myself a lil now. Nothing much new with me. Scared for my Dad. Um...I'm still looking for a job with no luck thus far. I did go to JCCC and get enrolled for the spring semester and I'm currently waiting to hear back on my financial aid paperwork. Yes, I decided to bite the bullet and take out a student loan since my rent's aren't helping me anymore. Other than that there's not really much else going on. Oh, my Aunt and Uncle are moving to Goodland, KS because my uncle got a better job. He's now going to be working for Orschlen's Farm and Home center. If I remember correctly he's going to be the store manager. They're moving out there on Friday.
