I should know better...
I should know better than to rely on anyone for anything. I learned a long time ago that I must learn to be completely independent. Everyone expects me to drop everything for them but when I need help with something I get screwed. Oh well, thank goodness I have this live journal to bitch too. As you may have read from a previous entry, I dropped my car off at K&E...well I needed to pick it up and was hoping that my family could come through for me...yea they did, but on their terms as usual. I had planned to go to my moms after work to get down a tree stand and ornaments for my sister out of my mom attic. (that sentence is running together but you get my drift) I got home from work and called my mom and asked her to come get me and take me to Homestead to pick up the car and then I would get the stuff down for my sister...she says "I'm busy cooking dinner for your sister and Dan, so you'll have to wait until I'm done." If she didn't have to come get me she would have expected me to drop everything and come over. My plans were to get the stuff out of the attic, pick up the car and then finish my Christmas shopping, which still isn't done.
So I called my sister to see if she'd come get me and she says "well I'm at Old Navy and I have to go to Kaufmann's and I have to go here and I have to go there"...well thanks. So finally my sister makes it up to my house and then drops me off at my moms while she went to the Hob Nob to pick up Dan. I should have known that would take forever. Dan probably wanted her to have a couple of drinks there...grrrr. Well, my mom is now not home and I'm totally stranded there...no car at all. I wanted to go to the Harley Davidson Shop to pick up his Christmas gift, but they close at 8pm..8PM!!!! during Christmas! ugh! So I now have to go through the snow today (hopefully we won't get any) and finish my Christmas shopping.
This morning I locked myself out of the house. I didn't even know that the lock on the door worked...well I found out this morning that it does. Luckily I left my house keys in the car last night and also had my wallet with me. I was able to get into the car (embarassing myself) after setting off the alarm to get the house keys..ugh. It is now pouring down rain and very windy! WOW!
Well I better get to work now. I'll write more later.
