PREPPY IS IN!
So about 10 min ago, I was making my breakfast (toast with cream cheese and a pear, yum) and listening to CNN in the background. The current talk was about stock and so I wasn't really paying attention till this really stupid, and I seriously mean stupid by the way he wasy explaining this. I wish I had recorded it! But I'll do my best:
Stupid guy on TV: Hottopic.....You know that goth malls (yes he said mall)........ that sells goth clothing.........Not doing so good. Thats because......Preppy is in... Stores like Ambercrombie, Gap.....Aerostople...They are the stores...So hottopic down 6 dollars (I think he said something like that. I was thought the whole thing was just too funny and didn't remember everything).
So....Preppy is in!! Well I don't know about New York, even though I sort of was there this summer and didn't notice a huge population of gothic people, or for that matter punky people, but I think I can say here with out my head getting cut off that Preppy never left. If he was talking about about the sad exuse for everyone to dress in fishnets and wear chains....All I can say is THANK GOD!!! That was annoying me sooo much! I couldn't stand to see chains with another string of the fake glitzy jewels next to them or how fishnet tops came in every color imaginable. SO if they haven't already, I am sure that wet seal is having a clearance on all their fishnet clothing. But the last time I was there was the begining of the summer-ish... But anyway, I am sure all gothic and punkish people are breathing at last to have thier waredrobe back to normal, instead of having barbie trying to imitate them by wearing neon green fishnet arm stockings, and a pair of black pants that has a permantly attached gawdy chain accessorized with another to strands of fake glitzy jewels. I can't believe my mom still asked if I would like one of those.....It's a girl trying to dress punkish poorly. So stop buying from Hottopic people because goth is out!! Preppy (the horror) is in!!! At least I can relax about the chain thing. That really pissed me off.
