my god I have not updated in FOREVER
an update, for there has not been one in very long:
1. Many changes there have been;
2. Just got back from Japan: Fukuoka, Miyajima, Hiroshima (a surprise visit), Kyoto and Tokyo in 7 days. Kyoto was an oven. Tokyo was heaven because of the breezes. Disneysea was amazing, and the evening show was spectacular. First went there with lacewood and rei_kurasaki, missed you both so much!
3. Off to London for three weeks; at the end of next week. Good wishes much appreciated ♥ Also, if you happen to be in London and want to meet up, I would love to. ♥ Looking forward to seeing little_ribbon and risax and farfello again!
4. Watched Transformers 3 with lacewood, hemlocke and rei_kurasaki. My God Shia's character was atrocious. A+ robot action. A++++ for Simmons & Dutch. Simmons easily the best part of the show.
5. Watched HP8 with mangy_mongrel, tokei, lacewood and missed theprerogative terribly, especially at the Hogwarts Express 592772. First movie that's moved me since Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. ♥
6. Watched X-Men: First Class with lacewood, hemlocke, mangy_mongrel and rei_kurasaki. Shocked myself utterly by walking out of theatre and wanting het fic involving Raven and men who were not Erik Lensherr. So far do not appear to have succumbed to XMFC fandom save for being possessed to constantly reblog amusing / hot posts on Tumblr. Likely because I have restrained myself with manic_intent's fic (seriously go read it, it will eat you alive), since said fic proved such a thoroughly effective gateway drug to Dragon Age 2 that I am now deeply cautious of its power and must tread wisely around it.
7. Had an awesome DA2 party in June with manic_intent, nemesis, elvaron, theprerogative, mangy_mongrel, tokei and my friend with the gorgeous white fluffy Samoyed at whose feet I lay the blame (the dog, not the owner) for my pathological inability to kick Fenris (metaphorically speaking).
Seriously could you metaphorically kick anyone who reminded you of this dog (link leads to a 2.5 MB picture).
of course the dog is cuter. no contest.
And the resemblance lies in the fact that both Fenris and the dog have white hair, similar ears, and puppy eyes. my god I am so weak to puppy eyes. damn you Fenris.
Anyway! crackartluna was supposed to be there but had fallen ill, and so she was missed. :(
So while I was getting pizza to people and pouring drinks manic_intent took the abandoned Xbox controller and made my rogue Hawke an aggressive Hawke. Cue panicked protests from me, because even though it is a game I have a delicate heart and shy away from picking aggro options. I was going to Sarcastic!Hawke my way through all my playthroughs. nemesis then said that she thought aggro!Hawke was really very much a poseur and he wasn't really all that bad. One month on I am now playing an aggressive mage!Hawke, and finding a lot of joy in it, so I am thankful for the introduction.
Friend with Samoyed says that one of the fun things about watching me play DA2 is seeing me pick dialogue options I would never never ever go for IRL.
Also I came out of the kitchen after wandering off to offer my limited assistance to mangy_mongrel while she was making tamagoyaki (her tamagoyaki is awesome, guys) and found party playing the Anders/Hawke romance scene.
Also there were cupcakes and awesome garlic-fried KFC (thanks friend with Samoyed, now I am obsessed with it - well, both the Samoyed and garlic fried chicken, so much so that I had to make said chicken again the next day), pizza and drinks and LOLS APLENTY.
8. amarukei was over today and we had a DA2 and Tiger and Bunny and Kuroshitsuji seiyuu party. After which she introduced DA2 to her sister and the result is +2 to Team Fenris.
Also Tiger & Bunny is AWESOME, and I thought I would like Koutetsu inexplicably AND I DO. :) I love his funny faces and I want to hug him ALL the time.
