HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

(this is here because this picture made me laugh.)

When I was a little girl living in Boston, I used to like to hide out in a tiny corner between two pieces of the sofa set that was next to the radiator on the wall and looked out on apartment blocks next to us. This shot up there reminds me so much of my little corner.

I spent NYE catching up with amandes, lacewood and half_sleeping. Then I came home for the Block Party at my Place. Roads around my area were cordoned off for this, and it was really really amazing, especially because:

1. There were FIREWORKS;
2. It is amazing having a New Year's party just ten minutes from your house;
3. Sibling and I could take an hour's break in the middle of festivities;
4. Sadly there was a Ridiculous World Record breaking session which we missed (it was unannounced) - Most Number of People Doing the Papaya Dance (DO NOT ASK ME I DO NOT KNOW);
5. Aunt & her family came up too and we had the countdown & fireworks together;
6. Plus DANCING IN THE STREET (I love it when streets get cordoned off for parties and I can walk the wrong way down the street and stroll with impunity where once were cars);
7. NO WAITING FOR TAXIS, CROWD-SHOVING OR QUEUING - JUST WALK HOME. Best EVER.
8. lacewood lent me Emma Bull's War of the Oaks and I finished reading it around 3am, it was AMAZING. HAPPINESS.

LOTS OF PICTURES LIKE THAT ONE UP THERE BEHIND THE CUT.
(In other words, my favourite shots from
the most recently released Matt Bomer photoshoot.

I present to you the definition of fanservice!

I would call THIS the most blatant photograph EVER, but:

I THINK THIS ONE WINS THE BLATANT AWARDS.

I actually really like this photograph.

Also, ridiculous, why does he make answering the phone look stylish.
