White Collar Season 2 Episode 9 Mid-Season Finale SPOILERS

At first I was like

source: gigglemonster (warning, spoilers)

(realising the White Collar mid-season finales have one thing in common)

And then I was like

The one thing the White Collar mid-season finales have in common?
They can be adequately summarised by that .gif *points up*
And THIS SONG:

SAY IT ISN'T SO
Bon Jovi

I just can't believe
It was all a lie

Tell me it's a nightmare
Please wake me up
(Say it isn't so)

I found a book of matches
From someplace we've never been
How come you hang the phone up
The minute I walk in
Last night I had this dream
That I was losing you
I woke up in a cold sweat shaking
Rescue me my heart is breaking

Say it isn't so (tell me it's not true)
Say it isn't so (I believe in you)
Tell me it's a lie (I don't need no proof)
Say everything's all right (couldn't be, not you)
Say it isn't so

Say it isn't so (don't give up on me)
Say it isn't so (don't give up on you)
Get me through the night (we'll make it through)
Make everything all right (couldn't be, not you)
Say it isn't so...

maybe it's the inner sadist talking, but looking at this gif is bringing me a lot of happy right now:

I'd say NEAL I AM DISAPPOINT; but really, the truth is I'd have been MORE disappointed if I'd actually expected better.

okay so I exhausted all my intelligent commentary over here.

in retrospect: heh

1. I love the fact that Mozzie was trending on Twitter. *delight* HE IS LOVED. (This reminds me of that time "Poor Rachel" trended (I am not entirely sure this is grammatically correct) on Twitter after a certain episode of Glee.

2. I've always thought Peter gives Neal a staggering amount of leeway about the big things - the lying / going behind Peter's back, for one. I was watching White Collar with my mom one night and I commented on this, and my mom said, quite naturally, as if this was entirely a given, "But he (Neal) can't be rehabilitated. And Burke knows that."

(my mom calls Peter "Burke" all the time, it's adorable)

/ CAN'T BE TAAAAMED; CAN'T BE BLAAAAMED - okay no more Miley Cyrus.

3. I'd read some general spoilers for the season finale (didn't want to get spoiled for the works until the episode aired) and the thing I was most worried about was a spoiler that said one of them (either Peter or Neal) was going to break the faith with the "no more secrets" deal. I was so worried it was going to be Peter; and to find that it was Neal was just an immense relief (for me).

omg Neal you do not take your promises seriously. Please see the utterly unsurprised look on my face.

4. I cut Neal a lot of slack because I don't expect a lot from him; somehow it's different with Peter.

5. I am so delighted that the writers are really upping the ante on the mid-season finales; this is one heck of a bang! And I am looking forward to see if Season 2's finale can top *this*.

white collar .gif party, and i must scream, white collar
