He Lies, He Cheats, He Steals, and He Still Doesn't Get Any Respect

This post is going to be mostly about White Collar crossovers. Also, one White Collar and one Inception fic rec. And Inception art recs.

☆ INCEPTION SPOILERS: i am the hero of this story (don't need to be saved): Mal POV, Gen. What-if fic. (mal/dom, mal&arthur, ariadne, eames.) In other words, the Inception fic I have been wanting to read since I saw the movie. demoerin, I know you said the Inception fandom has seen the last of you, but please please read this one. ♥

☆ White Collar: copperbadge's Exquisite: Peter/Neal/El, Peter/Neal. Season 1 of White Collar, with a twist. There's a place in Neal Caffrey's head where he doesn't have to lie to himself or be three steps ahead of the other guy, but so far only Peter has found it -- and Peter won't give him what he really wants. Elizabeth, meanwhile, is slowly adjusting to the idea of abetting felons...

White Collar Crossovers: Supernatural, Leverage, and... Inception.

A knight in shining Armani: Blog post on well-dressed men, illustrated by Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Neal (Matt Bomer). NEED I SAY MORE.

☆ This Dean (Supernatural) and Neal (White Collar) artwork FBI? Oh Really? by dauntdraws. The LJ post tells you the origin story (I love fanwork origin stories!) and links a what-happens-after fic. Her dA gallery is full of fun stuff, too.

I Lie, I Cheat, I Steal (and I Just Don't Get Any Respect): A White Collar/Leverage crossover.
Summary: "Let's go steal a con artist." In other words, Neal gets stolen, and Elizabeth is AWESOME in it. Also I would read it for the title alone, but that's just me. I confess that I don't watch Leverage, and it threw me a little that this story is from the Leverage characters' POV. I suspect this means I am getting half the enjoyment out of the fic as I would had I been familiar with Leverage, but I LOVE THE TITLE. The beginning wasn't quite up my alley, but once Peter turned up I got interested. :)

"We don't just need a thief. We need a forger."
Why I want a White Collar / Inception crossover. Because when these series collide, your mind is STILL the scene of the crime. I've only found two such crossovers so far:

Chiaroscuro: Neal meeting young!Ariadne, and drawing lessons. Interesting character backstory and interaction.

- No Reason: Eames/Arthur - Eames being jealous of Neal hitting upon Arthur. I confess this one isn't quite my thing, but my favourite concept is actually the part where Fowler hired Cobb & the Dream Team to extract information from Peter, and how Peter (and I assume Neal) want to reverse this and get Cobb & Team to feed Fowler false information.

(White Collar/Inception worldbuilding thoughts.)

Let's dream a little bigger. (Darlings.)

Interrogation and investigation in the subconscious! Subconscious security as an industry! Mind-crime investigation's greatest breakthrough: realising that the dreamer and his subconscious was their greatest ally. (The subconscious /knows/ what is alien. And it is your greatest ally.)

And then there are the CRAZY ideas, like: Reforming criminals by PERFORMING INCEPTION on them! And it being in the early stages, so sometimes the criminals end up really, REALLY messed up! Neal in your DREAMS stealing your SECRETS! Idea theft in the creative industry! INFORMATION WARS! Deliberately seeding FALSE INFORMATION in peoples' heads! TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT!

Inception Art Recs (All worksafe)
