Well, that was fairly scary.
I've just switched the light on in the living room, and one of the bulbs flished, pinged, and went out. Standard activity for when a bulb blows.
What I didn't expect, was for the bulb to be launched upwards out of the fitting, to land a second later on the carpet, mere millimeters from the fireplace.
Scared the crap out of me, fortunately the kids didn't really notice, and only really reacted to my own reaction.
We're now down to one bulb remaining out of three... I think I need to go to B&Q this afternoon.
