Saturday night, and apparently everyone has lives except me. How rude. Even my parents went out for the evening; I've had the house to myself and spent the entire night online, and quite a large proportion of that on myspace. Embarrassing.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow will bring good news from Bernadette; we're hoping that she will be able to get the same week off as Julia and I have in February so the three of us can go to Poland. I really hope she can - I'd love a girly holiday! Poland 2007 will consist of some time in Krakow with a visit to Auschwitz (have I spelt that right) and slightly less time in Warsaw. Julia's already found a hostel in Krakow called The Elephant on the Moon (picked because of its name, like The Golden Sickle in Prague was, haha), written an approximate itinerary and started worrying about whether she will be able to take her hair straighteners. Haha.

OMG Prison Break starts again on Monday night. Season Two. Mum and I have been waiting for MONTHS and it's finally here! Exciting. I'm loving January for the return of all my programmes; ER has been good so far and there's a couple of others starting soon that I'd like to watch - Skins, Heroes. Take That are releasing my favourite song from the new album soon (sung by Mark, yay!), and there's a new Will Smith film out. Woo for my favourite things. (All I need now is a release date for the last Harry Potter book.)

I heard the headteacher at work telling someone that there's probably going to be a summer school this year, fo at least a week, and she asked me if it's something I'd be interested in doing. Hell yes! Apparently you get paid really well, and when I said yes I think she thought it was because of the money, but I'd do it anyway because I love spending time with the kids and I figure summer school must involve more fun things than regular school. I love fun things. Also, the fact that she asked me is a good sign because it makes me think that they must want me 'til the end of the school year; at the moment my contract is only until the end of March and I'm desperately hoping that it will be extended. So the summer school thing is a good sign, isn't it?

Have eaten like a pig for the last couple of days. And I've bitten my nails because of stress and tiredness, which is really annoying because it'll take me two months to grow them back to what they were and I can't be arsed waiting that long, grr. This whole week has been hell, in fact. I can't believe we've only been back at school for one week, and only with the kids for four days. It's been the longest week ever! If you include travelling time and lunch at school I've done a 58 hour week this week (51 if not), which I guess was a bit of a shock to come back to (although Russia wasn't exactly easy-going). The worst thing has been the weather; I have playground duty for at least 30 minutes every day and the wind gave me bad ear ache. Woe.

Tomorrow's my fortnightly day off. Praise the lord. I think I should probably try to go to the gym, because I've only been once this week and that's a lot less than the five times I was aiming for. I should also tidy my room, because that's holding a lot of things up that can only happen once I've done it. (Tidy room > decorate room > buy new and comfy double bed!) Perhaps a nice film at some point? Still haven't seen Superman Returns, or I've got an unopened Termintor dvd trilogy sitting on my shelf. I should also make tomorrow my first in a long sucession of healthy eating days (long succession = until I'm a size 10, haha). If we do go to Poland in February it means I won't be going to Aberdeen that week (still haven't mastered the art of being in two places at once, damn it) so the next time I'll see me cousins and everyone up there will probably be at Easter, which means I've got a decent length of time in which to make a large difference to my appearance. I'd love to go up and for them to all be shocked because I've lost so much weight since they last saw me (two stones would be nice, although maybe that's a bit ambitious in just under four months).
