My darkest trial yet has come to an end. I give thanks, oh gods, for the grace bestowed upon me.

. . . Though has it truly ended?
The physical attachment to the devil is a thing of the past . . . yet nonetheless, she continues to plague my mind. Do you seek to teach me a lesson? Do you seek to change my ways? If the goal is to strengthen my resolve against the forces that stand in opposition to you, I regret to say, the strategy does not appear to be succeeding. There ought to be no hesitation. Worry not; I remain firmly convinced of the irrevocable damnation awaiting those belonging to Utgard. They have no place in the world. Violence and destruction is all they know; violence and destruction is the fate they bring upon themselves.
Yet these . . . are not of Utgard. Though my memory remains weak, I am convinced that no demon has ever acted in such a way. I had once believed it was my purpose to protect the island against those of such detestable origin. Yet what do they do that requires such protection? No doubt they are sinful. No doubt they are wicked. I have passed judgment for far less at your will. Yet . . . in their world, such sin is redeemable. Is it my place to interfere? To pass such judgment upon those with a future still awaiting them . . . Is it right? Is it still your will that I carry out such duty here? Their behavior is puerile; their actions irritating at worst. I have withheld my hand until I deemed it necessary. Yet it seems such a time may never come.
. . . As always, you are silent. I question not your will. I ask only for direction . . . for I believe I am troubled. And such, as I know it . . . should be impossible.

The presence of a fading soul. I feel it strongly . . . Yet it lingers. It fails to ascend. This . . . has somebody died?! That scholar. What did he tell me before? People are resurrected here when they die.
. . . I should not interfere.

As it's an inherent sort of thing, Ledah was using it cautiously in the past but now understands it fully. He can sense the strength of an aura and also know whether it is human or otherwise. If it is spiritual, he knows its affinity, demonic or heavenly. If you're something that didn't exist in his world, he'll be generally confused about what he's seeing. As he is an angel of death, I assume he can also tell when somebody is dead -- or I guess, half-dead, in Danny's case.))
