I am a little worried about my portfolio, though I suppose I have an entire semester to work on it. I mysteriously lost my flash drive at the beginning of the semester (along with my keys). The perplexity of that loss still bothers me a great deal. (IT MAKES NO SENSE! I LOCKED THE DOOR! HOW COULD I HAVE LOCKED THE DOOR WITHOUT MY KEYS?!?!? AND YET THEY ARE GONE!) Anyway, it had all my work from spring semester on it; luckily I had a bit of it on our work PC from when I was doing some work with a few projects. But still, I am worried that a lot has gone missing over the months. Eh, I just have to work hard next semester to flesh it out.
There is a lot of identity stuff. I wish I had more layouts - which is funny since layout is my most favorite thing. I have a couple pretty nifty websites. Hroom. Maybe it's not so worrisome. Oh well, MY FEARS STILL STAND.
I realized that I would rather work in-house for a company rather than at a design firm. The idea of just doing a bunch of jobs really doesn't appeal to me, but helping to really shape the identity and direction of an organization from the inside really does. I am considering applying for marketing departments with local governments/authorized monopolies, like the bus system too. Anyone else have any fun ideas?
I guess, to be honest, my dream job would be to work for Blizzard Entertainment and to really help put them in the mainstream with a cleaner, more contemporary identity while still working within the values that they've set for themselves as far as the quality of their products and the attitude of their company.
