Rain, rain, go away, you cost me my job for today!

Jul 07, 2008 18:22

My dog walk was cancled/postphoned due to the inclimate weather. :( I could have used the $10, but probably not before Wensday. Oh well.

On the plus side, my job-interview at the International Student's office went really well today. 6 positions for 25 applicants, so my chances are good right off the bat; plus, I have 3 days of the week with no classes, every morning free, and experience at OCC. Still, keep your fingers crossed for me--I really need the employment.

I auditioned for 'Into the Woods' yesterday. I know very little of the show, but apparently it's wonderful and has lots of parts for people in my age/vocal range, so I'm optiimistic. Mack didn't try out (He's busy at work) but he's chomping at the bit for 1776 to get underway. I'd LOVE to play Jefferson's wife, but I can forsee Shayla Curan getting the part. She the blond who always get's romantically paried with mack--it's led to no end of confusion between the two of us. She's nice, I consider her a friend--even if I am a bit jelous sometimes. Then again, 1776 would be nice to watch, too.

I'm using my free time to go over some of my 'accumulated' entertainment. I'm re-reading my Essential X-Men volums, watching the X-Files ans Simpsons seasons again, and reading the 1980's 'Concrete' graphic novels--they're really beautiful, even for just being black and white. I highly recccomend them--for some reason, they're not terribly well known.
