Ahaha, so this post is currently a bit incomplete as I have not yet added my dresses (about another 50 photos) which to be honest, I wear more often than my skirts because so many of my blouses are sheer so I don't like to wear them with just a skirt. The lolita fashion comm on livejournal has a monthly theme for wardrobe posts every january, but I like to post mine in my own journal in advance to make sure the formatting etc is okay- so I'll be amending this post in the near future. (Taking and formatting photos has basically filled up my post-holiday free time, which is why I've made really slow progress on my fanfics. D:)
"Expert Toppers" is just a made up term to sound more like a Pokemon item. I had just taken a photo of that bonnet and kerchief and wasn't sure what to call them as a group.
That kerchief is from my favorite Japanese brand "Metamorphose". I also have a matching headbow. They released a series last year called "Magical Starry Sky", and while the dresses were too small for me, I decided to pick up some accessories that I could pair with plain black outfits.
^_^;; I own very few "regular" dresses, and I don't actually wear my lolita as often as I should to validate my hoard. But I just find it hard to sell my pieces, even after I stop wearing them because the time it took me to hunt them down seems like it's worth more than the money I spent. And I do like to revisit things I haven't worn in a while. I don't have a job where I could wear these during the work week, so I have to make occasions. Luckily, my local lolita community is pretty active, so we have several meetups a month.
