i hate how we all have celebrities we idolize. we admire people who are prettier than we are, have a better lifestyle than we do, and more money to throw around. and we strive to be like them hoping we will have what they have one day [well maybe not but a lot of people do ( Read more... )

I hate to do this, but... You still owe me ten dollars, and I desperately need the money. Our dogs have no food. I think we have enough food for them to last until the weekend, and that's it. If there's some way I could get it before then, that'd be great. Please, let me know. And, again, my apologies for bothering you with this.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. If you could bump into Shannon, or even Sarah (since I see her about every weekend and during the day during the week at times.) that would be swell. If not, I'm sure I can get Shannon to drive me over and pick it up. No worries, I'm just really broke...

I don't think celebrities have a better life-style. Sure they're rich, but to get that way, they have to spend months at a time away from their family and friends, filming 10 12 14 hours a day. Then if their weight changes slightly they're on the front of a tabloid saying they're on crack, or have an eating disorder. If they put at arm around a friend and someone gets a picture, they're having an affair. Their mariages last 6 months (heck my CRUSHES last longer than that) and they go to the grocery store (if they don't have someone that does that for them) and get to see pictires of themselves and their ex all over People magazine.

And sure they're beautiful in the magazines - that's because they've spent 3 hours in make up, then they air brush and computer enhance on top of it. Y'ever seen a picture of Madonna in a sweatshirt with no makeup on? Doesn't look like madonna - looks like your average mom.

Pplllllffttt!! I don't wanna be famous...

im talking more about the disgustingly obsessed people who's lives revolve around celebrities. i'll give you an example. there is this boy in my math class. he is DISGUSTINGLY obsessed with mariah cary. and if you don't like mariah cary then you're not his friend [everything was cool between us until i told him i didn't like mariah cary]. he will listen to people's problems and what mariah would do in that situation. he has a different mariah cary picture in his notebook for each class. it's sick. and i don't understand it. it's people like him im more referring to.

i understand your point. you are totally right. i should have thought it through. it's interesting seeing it from each perspective, you know? like mostly all we know about celebrities is how the media portrays them but that's not really how it is. people treat them like they're gods because of the media. so, i guess i should direct all my anger more towards the media than the celebrities themselves.
