Today was a pleasant one. I grabbed lunch from a McDonald's, then took the subway to 57th street and walked to Central Park. If you've never been to Central Park, dear readers, you're missing out; today especially, with eighty-degree weather and lots of blue, blue skies and grinning people. It was what I've been looking for in the city--grass, rocks (however synthetic they may be), sprinklers, and happy babies. I climbed (quite daringly, considering my choice of footwear), the biggest rock and sat atop it for an hour or so, meditating and reading Mann's Death in Venice.
Music I Love: Sunn O))), The Wailin' Jennys (Why didn't I know of them sooner?!?!?), We Are Scientists. (First two c/o Sagan Gay).
And now, a vague addendum brought to you by ABC and Viewers Like You, Thank You: It really sucks to want something for someone and not be able to give it to him/her. It seems like it's a choice on my behalf, but it's not...I mean, it IS, I guess, it's just some things, this ONE THING, aren't/isn't changeable. If I could make things perfect for you...any other way, I would. I'm sorry for not being able to be enough. You're doin' ok, kid, keep your head up high.
