It's nearly comedy o'clock

I'm off to watch Mark Thomas (http://www.markthomasinfo.com/) tonight. I bought the tickets for Jeff & I after I'd finished writing one of my essays, as a 'well done for not weeping all over the laptop' present to myself. Next week we're going to see Doug Stanhope, tickets bought for the same reason, for my second essay.

At the time of buying them, both gigs seemed ages away. This MA course is making time pass by so quickly.

We start filming tomorrow. Though my group (myself, Adam and Sunny) won't actually be filming anything 'til Monday. It's come around so quickly. Next week is all sorted, schedule wise, though I keep getting an uneasy feeling that I've forgotten to do something. Currently at the top of my not-yet-done list is buying a Disco Ball, I like having a fun task lined up.

I'm getting into good producer habits, I think. I've sent out several thousand emails today, so many that Hotmail stopped me at one point and made me fill out a dialog box to prove I wasn't spamming. I've managed to get the Head of Music from the University to agree to composing an original score for the documentary, which is super exciting, and will be a huge benefit for our film in the long run too, as he wants to compose music for the film so he can use it in his updated show-reel. So basically, more exposure for our film, with a soundtrack written by an actual, real life professional, rather than a student. Woop!

I'm still feeling stressed, but it's a good type of stress. It's motivating me to get things done. And comedy tonight will definitely take the edge off the bleak reality of the spreadsheets I have to create tomorrow.

University supervision wise, our group got the supervisor we wanted. I'm not going to say her name publicly, but she's a well known documentary producer and I am chuffed to bits that I'll get to have regular meetings with her, so I can drop hints about her giving me a job when the course is finished! Also, as she still works in the TV industry, her advice will be vital.

Good things! I like feeling happy and productive.
