Writer’s Block is still here!…just not on the homepage

What happened to Writer’s Block? In our most recent news about Release 90, we announced that Writer’s Block, a long-running homepage feature that posed a new question every day, was going away. We were pretty clear about what was happening; the section headline “Writer’s Block ending” told most people what they needed to know. No ambiguity there, right ( Read more... )

If you want to clean up the home-page, banish anything containing 'ohnotheydidnt' or ONTD in the title.

I think saying no one likes it is going a bit far, but everyone already knows about it! People who like that kind of thing aren't gonna have a problem finding it. People who haven't already become members just aren't interested.

I wish it wasn't all over the homepage all the time

That is why ONTD is still the largest community on LJ and has been featured all over the media and has spawned over 100 spin off communities.

Puhleease ONTD is not perfect but the community plays a huge role in the success of LJ...stop it.

lol butthurt ONTD goer, I imagine? ONTD =/= LJ. LJ was successful before they started trying to shove it down all of our throats. Yes, the communities have a lot of members. But most of LJ doesn't go there, and for the people who do go there, they don't need it on the homepage to do so. It doesn't need to be on the homepage to be successful.
