The Calms Before the Storms?

Well, I have one local volunteer group on the Gulf Coast activated to staff shelters, and two states have put their groups on alert to receive evacuees from Gustav and/or Hanna. Despite that, my blackberry is eerily quiet at the moment. I'm assuming that's because everyone's busy contacting volunteers, making plans, coordinating with local response partners, etc. while we all watch where the storms are going.

My internet connection at home has gone kaput, so I don't know how much I'll be able to update it this weekend, but I'm posting work-related news items here: http://www.bloglines.com/blog/Region4MRC
