Upstairs - Where I live, where I work, where I prefer to stay in a hotel. No first-floor hotel rooms for me!
Ugly - What kids used to call me when I was little. It's OK, it built character...or something. I like to think I turned out alright.
Useful- What I like to be, when I can be. Sometimes I'm useless, and that's OK, too.
Umbrella - Something I always try to have with me, which is a sign of my tendency to try to be prepared for any situation.
Unstoppable - What I am when I put my mind to it. Spite is a powerful motivator.
Unusual - I like unusual things. While my taste in clothes tends to be pretty simple and classic, I like unusual accessories.
Unity - something I prize in relationships and communities. I think people generally have more in common than they realize.
Umbelliferous - this means bearing a mass of flowers springing from a single center (such as the Queen Anne's Lace, a flower that grew around the neighborhood where I grew up, and thus the connection to me!)
Underwear - Oh, come ON, you knew I had to stick something interesting in here (in the ENTRY, that is). I like underwear - it's a fun, cheap means of self-expression, even if nobody else sees it.
I have a headache - it is making me feel rather ill, so I think I'll go lie down.
