1. Last Wednesday: went to Sycamore Mall at 8:00 p.m. with Jake, Brian, and Danny to wait in line for the midnight viewing of Star Wars. We played hearts, and I got stuck with the christmas turkey many times. It fuckin figures. Jesse and Megan joined us later. Greg Brunner was there. The movie was pretty awesome, even with the cheesy romance dialogue. Brian hated it, but that's because he's a stupid fuck (I'm not saying that to be mean; it's his new nickname).

2. Last Thursday: my roommates and I went downtown to "get crazy." I drank four rum and cokes at jake's and proceeded to dance like a drunken maniac on a mostly empty dance floor. I also left byram jr. four messages in a relatively short period of time, each one getting progressively angrier at her for not having her phone on. I'm told that later, at home, I flashed my roommates, but I have no recollection of this. It sounds like the kind of thing I would do.

3. Monday: Megan, Brian, Jake, Danny, Jesse, and I went to hickory hill and walked around in the dark. We went to this one clearing that has a single picnic table on top of a hill. Getting there proved to be tricky, and involved walking through some sketchy knee-deep foliage which may or may not have contained poison ivy- no one could tell because it was dark. However, it was worth it, because we got to the top of the hill and were greeted by a glowing, orange, almost full moon and a clear sky, with a view of the City High bell tower in the distance. Fucking amazing. We then went downtown and ate whitey's, and then went to Danny's apartment to watch "Shaun of the Dead." Have you seen this movie? It was hilarious. I did not know what to expect from it and was pleasantly surprised a million times over.

4. Tuesday: had a late (9:30) dinner at Old Chicago with Megan, Jake, Brian, Jesse, Megan's roommate Yeonok, and Megan's music friend Lauren. Old Chicago on a Tuesday night = always a good call, because they have slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza for $1 and pints of beer for $2. I was a little worried about Lauren, because it was the first time she had met any of us and we're pretty weird. I think she found us amusing, but may have been offended by Brian and Jake's comments about Mormons. Then a few of us went to Megan and Yeonok's place and watched "Finding Neverland."

5. Tonight: quality time around the dining room table with the roommates.

6. Tomorrow: wine party with the roommates, because Mary leaves for Prague on Friday and will be gone for six weeks (tear).

7. Life is pretty good, as long as you don't mention that one guy's name. He frustrates me to no end.
