My last mp3 player lasted longer than it should have, considering I dropped a weight on it back when I lived in Northern California almost two years ago.
Wow, has it really been that long since I lived there?
Anyway, it finally started to crap out a few weeks ago, and since then I've been debating getting an iPod shuffle. I was actually going to make my decision after my next paycheck.
I guess Jeff figured if he left it up to me decide, it'd never happen. So he showed up with a spiffy little blue one last night. My boyfriend is the greatest.
I used it in my PE class today. I did the required 1.5 mile test. I did it in 14:39 minutes, which I thought was really slow but it's rated as "good" nationwide. I get to do the Body Mass Index test on Monday. Dun, dun, dun.
The Psychology Club meeting was on Tuesday. I recognized a few people. They were really friendly, which was surprising considering I only went to one event when I was involved in the club last year. They really wanted me to become a part of the cabinet, so I ran for historian. Basically, one of the photographers for the club. I won. Sort of a confidence booster that people I met once voted for me.
I just got the hiccups.
My mom, a psychiatric nurse, told me a story when I was a kid about a middle-aged male patient on her unit who had had a case of hiccups for years and eventually turned suicidal. True story. So now, every time I get hiccups, I have this ridiculous childhood fear that they'll never stop and I'll sound drunk for the rest of my life.
Moving on.
Chemistry quiz tomorrow on the safety guidelines and to make sure we all know not to try to drink the ethyl alcohol. I shit you not, that's one of the rules we need to remember.
Jeff and I are off on a fishing trip for the weekend. But for now, drinking water, holding my breath, spinning around in circles, all those silly cures for a twitching diaphragm. Oh, and baseball.
