Dear Yuletide 2015 Author
Well, fandom, it's once again that greatest time of year: Yuletide! Lovely Author, thanks for <3ing one of my fandoms enough to voluntarily submit to reading the following trash pile of FEELS. I'm a firm believer in THIS IS ALL OPTIONAL, DO WHATEVER YOU WANT JUST THANKS SO MUCH FOR PLAYING, but if you want some direction feel free to read on.

Likes and Dislikes
I like a wide variety of pairings and genfic. Any rating is fine, though I'd prefer if any mature/explicit ratings are for general pornishness rather than violent content. PWP is completely acceptable.
Tropes and stuff I particularly enjoy: epistolary stories, women being awesome/BAMF ladies who don’t get to be badass that often in canon, team/found family/family of choice feels, romantic comedy and/or harlequin AUs, seriously GO CRAZY WITH THE AUs (I'm a particular sucker for sports AUs [hockey and baseball, mainly], Stargate/Star Trek AUs, or anything with magic [be that a Harry Potter fusion or some sort of magical realism]), pining, domesticity/curtain fic, competence kink, queerplatonic relationships, snarky dialogue, OT3s/polyamory, Rule 63, communication failure, soulbonds/soulmarks (including dysfunctional takes on those), enemies to friends to lovers, time loops/time travel, identity porn, and nonlinear storytelling.
Stuff I generally do not enjoy: character death, children in peril, rape/noncon/dubcon, A/B/O dynamics, mpreg, extreme violence. Angst is okay, but grimdark is not my bag. I'm not mad for (but would still read): kid fic, law enforcement AUs, mundane AUs for fandoms with genre elements, hatesex, or fuck-or-die scenarios (or, like, basically any dubconny sexy times). There are exceptions to every rule, of course, but for the most part these are things I’d prefer you avoid.
Boy Meets World - Cory Matthews and Shawn Hunter
I ship it, guys.
You can go for the epic childhood friendship fic, but I ship it real hard. I want Cory/Shawn or Cory/Shawn/Topanga or Cory/Shawn and Cory/Topanga. I want polyamory negotations. I want the AU where Cory and Shawn had the Cory/Topanga storyline and Topanga was Cory's best friend. I want a million Different First Meeting AUs. I want the AU where Cory and Shawn were at college together and Topanga went to the badass uni she should've gone to in the first place, leading to the inevitable Cory/Shawn hookup. I'd prefer no Topanga bashing, she's a glorious BAMF and ladies deserve love even if I want their husbands to date their best friends. I haven't watched Girl Meets World, so any cookies you add in there will be lost on me, but that's fine.
Singin’ in the Rain (1952) - Cosmo Brown, Don Lockwood, Kathy Selden
There are already a few really wonderful ones out there, but can the world ever have enough Cosmo/Don/Kathy OT3 fics? I don’t think so. Post-Canon get-togethers, modern AUs, polyamorous Hollywood backstage shenanigans. Give it to me, now, please!
The Martian (2015) - Chris Beck and Mark Watney
So the book was not quite my jam (stylistic mismatch), but I LOVE the concept and adored the adaptation. My request for this is maybe only 50% based on the fact that I ship SebStan with the leading men in all of his projects. Friendship fic is fine (and pretty canonical, because holy sudden baby appearance in a 20 second scene, Batman!), but man do I ship it. Gimme post-canon touch-starved Mark. Hooking up pre- and post-mission? Reunion sex? I would actually go for Chris/Mark/Beth OT3 if you wanted to be shippy and still canon compliant. (Ares3some is a great ship name, I have to admit.) Beth’s awesome, I just don’t ship her and Beck as much as I ship Beck/Watney.
Redshirts - John Scalzi - Andrew Dahl and Jimmy Hanson
I recently reread Redshirts for the first time since it came out (well, I listened to the audiobook recently, which is great and read by Wil Wheaton, just to be even more meta) and I definitely do not remember shipping this so hard in my first read. Genfic for Redshirts if fine; this universe is so fun and quirky and I’m sure you could do something delightful, but if you wanna write me some Andy/Jimmy shippy goodness, I’d love you 5ever. (If you go shippy, I suggest some pining!Jimmy and oblivious!Andy, since that’s pretty canonical, really.)
