Yes yes yes to the forearms. Why is that so hot? I don't know. I have a thing for suspenders too. Like sometimes I'll go visit my husband at work? And he's sitting at his desk with this great view behind him, staring down at some papers before he notices I'm there? And he's got his jacket off and his sleeves rolled up? And these braided leather suspenders I got him? And...
Anyway.
Yeah, Scully would follow him anywhere. I just love how sleek she looks in this ep too. So pretty.
I love how this is such a low-key case, because it allows them to just sort of jauntily banter and solve the puzzle together without running for their lives or having hushed conversations over a rotting corpse. Which is all well and good, of course, but I like that they get a little break to do some magician brain-teasers in the sunshine.
I know, right? This episode is such a favorite of mine for that. It's silly, as X-Files go, but sometimes the stultifying misery just gets to be a bit much and I like them to be fun and silly. I wish Chris were more open to humor. It really helps things so much.
Forearms, I KNOW. If a guy rolls up his shirtsleeves, I'm a goner. I can't explain it.
I just love how sleek she looks in this ep too. So pretty. And her terrible haircut doesn't even look that bad!

Of course, it wouldn't be XF without things mostly being Very Serious, but oh, how I love it when they're just happy to be together. I realize that, objectively, S7 is not the best season. But there are so many moments like these here, where they're happy and smiling and light, and that counts for a lot.
