Gah, I know! He eventually has to practically force her into baseball, lol. (Am I the only one who's always sad that Scully also shoots him down at the beginning of "all things"? HELLO, SCULLY. The FBI does not have jurisdiction in freaking ENGLAND. What do you think the plan was?) Which is crazy, because she's always totally impressed when he shows off his sports skills! So you'd think she'd just be waiting for him to wrap his arms around her and show her how to swing a bat or line up a putt in mini golf. And as for ENGLAND, I know! He's basically asking her to go away with him for the weekend and is covering for it with his lame "crop circles!" excuse.
Also, I'm pretty sure the "panic face" bit was not originally scripted, which just makes me love it more. I'm too lazy to dig out my copy and check. Love it! I also wonder, since they start out SO flirty and adorable here, if people who had this as their first glimpse of M&S were all confused when they went back to being their mostly-morose regular selves.
ALDGLHDKDJFKFD THAT CAP. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME. I KNOWWW. And that cap doesn't even really do it justice.
I know! I love her little smile at his bowling in Elegy, of course.
He's basically asking her to go away with him for the weekend and is covering for it with his lame "crop circles!" excuse. Am I crazy for finding that adorably romantic? Probably. You know what Mulder does to me.
You know, I never thought about that before, but that would be an interesting perspective. It kind of takes me back to watching that video interview of Siskel and Ebert, where they both ended up loving it, despite not being fans of the show (yet), and saying that the characters were "obviously in love" or something like that. Non-fan reactions to things always fascinate me, somehow.
Someday I am going to reach FTF in the progress of capping, and lose my mind a little. Or end up with like, 1,000 caps. Whichever comes first.
