“Oh, he’ll come.” Mulder manages to over dramatize in his own tale, making himself look silly.
That is such a Mulder-y thing to do. Good God, Vince Gilligan is brilliant.

He looks damn good in an undershirt, though, so she probably isn‘t complaining about his clothes on the floor.
Oh God, I know. What do they call that thing, a wifebeater? Who am I kidding, I don't give a damn, it's just hot.

It makes me think of the line from “Parabiosis” about Mulder “fish[ing] a green pepper out of the neck of his T-shirt.”
OMG, yes! I knew I couldn't be the only one who flashed on that!

Dude, his upper arms are delicious.
Mmm, yes they are. I also have inexplicably strong love for this shot (I think it's the angle, or the hair, or the lips... or perhaps those eyelashes). IDEK.

I can't not see the hand with the stake that reaches into frame as he breaks down the chair.
And I can't NOT laugh. I have to believe that was deliberate.

He chased him over “hill and dale.” Say what you will, but he’s kind of an awesome storyteller.
"I just gave myself chills!" Oh, Mulder. Come and tell me some bedtime stories?

“No, his throat was…bitten. It was sort of…gnawed on.”
Mitch Pileggi, ladies and gentlemen. His delivery of that line, coupled with the hilarious way he sort of... vaguely motions towards his neck... I lose my shit.

Vince, is there some way you can get Pileggi on “Breaking Bad”? Pretty, pretty please?
Oh my god, if that actually happened, I must suffer a mild joy explosion.

When Hartwell shows up again, and they’re able to check out his teeth, Scully taps at her own teeth while Mulder makes a face. I love things like this, because here it’s not about the everlasting love, it’s about them being best friends.
YES. YES, THIS.

He’s obviously feeling fairly confident by now about how he stacks up to Hartwell. Although if he were completely confident, he wouldn‘t feel the need to be so snarky. “You’re good.” He gives her this look, like: I’m better than him, and I have very nice teeth. And I’ll only bite if you say it’s okay.
Just one of the 8 million reasons why Mulder does it for me forever; even in his most confident state, he's still never 100% sure. Also, your assessment here? I just barked out a laugh like a seal.

“BACK!” The breadstick cross and Duchovny’s delivery are genius.
And his following look of "Oh shit, that's not going to work, and I must look like a complete MORON. Also, I might be about to DIE" totally seals it.

Possible favorite shot alert! Also, him accidentally honking the horn while checking his own neck? *dies of LOL*

This totally cheered me up. *loves you*

Edit: I had to go and watch the blooper from this episode with David and Luke Wilson, because it cracks me up. "I-I'm hearin' "Fartwell. You can read it right here..." "Don't make me read it!" David is practically sobbing laughing, it kills me.

Ha! I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only crazy one. "Fishing" is just the perfect verb to use.

I'm laughing right now, just thinking about it. I love Skinner in non-mytharc episodes, because he just exudes this feeling of: "My career was not supposed to be like this, guys. But oh well, I guess."

YES. YES, THIS.
It's like, yes, yes, longing looks and blah blah blah. But they're still together 15 years later because they like each other.

Yay, I'm so glad it cheered you up! But UGH, I went to go watch that blooper, because I love it, but the sound on my computer is...not working. THANKS A LOT, computer. I think I need to start doing my computer-shopping homework so I'm ready when this one finally dies.

Haha, I know. He just sort of grumbles and goes with the flow. He's such a cool, curmudgeonly boss!

Oh no! Well, if it starts working again, I hope you can find that one. I just love it so much. I always lose it when David laughs especially (which is why that one from Small Potatoes where he collapses on top of Darin, laughing hysterically, is another one of my favorites).
