Me too. And you KNOW how I feel about David's eyes. SO expressive, my God. All you have to do is look at him for a second, and you KNOW he's not seeing anyone else. (The only thing that is disconcerting about this? He's always focused, so being on the receiving end is intimidating as hell.)

The acting, directing, editing, writing... everything about the roulette scene is TOP. NOTCH. I don't even know. I love Vince forever and a day for fighting FOX tooth and nail to get it on the air. (And I have yet to see another show that did it since do it so masterfully.) Mulder's voice is literally shaking with rage, but he's looking at Scully, because he can't look anywhere else: "I'm going to kill you, Modell." GAH. And then of course, "Scully, RUN! Scully..." *dies*
He almost shot her, but here she is, alive. Damn.
That's why it kills me that they put him through this again, not necessarily worse (because he didn't do it), but still sort of the same, in Kitsunegari. It's like, GODDAMN, this man has enough of a guilt complex without your help!
Scully initiating the hand hold is such a rare, precious thing. And they're just standing there, squeezing each other's fingers, and I die. DIE.
