I know I've said this before, but I can't believe they're actually dead. It's not that I have some crazy attachment to them (although I do think it's horrible that they were killed off) but that I can't believe anyone on this show is ever really dead. I just can't!
So apparently the Gunmen are out of money and no longer publishing because they spent every last dime trying to find Yves when she went missing. Jimmy tells Morris: “They’re loyal to their friends.” So…they spent all of their money and time and effort looking for this chick, but when Mulder was missing? Nothing?
That is terrible.
But if she’s wearing a face mask, doesn’t that mean that the virus is somehow escaping when she burns it? Wouldn’t people still be at risk, no matter how you disposed of it?
This is no place for logic!
Otherwise, I’m going to assume she’s spending her time writing lovelorn e-mails to Mulder while deep conditioning her hair.
As were we all at that point in time.
In the teaser recap, we see a clip from “Wetwired,” of Mulder and the Gunmen looking at something, and then one from “EBE,” with Byers saying, “That’s why we like you, Mulder. Your ideas are weirder than ours.”
I miss this era. I think "E.B.E." is going on my list of episodes to watch when I'm done the rewatch.
The teaser, with Morris Fletcher giving us the “Once upon a time…” recap treatment, is an awful lot like the teaser for “Dreamland II.”
Yes! I don't understand why they did this a second time.
It just...doesn't make any sense to kill them. And not only that, but the way they're killed, it's like it's happening in weird slow-motion, where they could clearly escape but choose not to. For no good reason.
This is no place for logic! The motto of season 9.
I miss this era. I think "E.B.E." is going on my list of episodes to watch when I'm done the rewatch. I may have cheated and watched "Quagmire" before I went to bed last night. I needed something after being torn apart by "William." But now that you mention it, I'm definitely going to add "E.B.E." to my own list. Bugs in pens! Scully being told she's hot!
