Jun 15, 2009 09:27

Hello hello! Two events are coming up this weekend that are definitely worth waiting for. Comic City 75 is a 6,000 space general convention, but the Osaka events always feature smaller, less-prolific circles and lots of booths selling swag and other goodies.

And right next to Comic City is the fabulous Gijinka Kingdom--1,123 Hetalia circles and ( Read more... )

Got It! A Gijinka Kingdom Update.... the_little_nook June 25 2009, 05:38:15 UTC
Heya guys, and so sorry to keep you waiting! I was actually able to win one of two auctions for you and IMO this was the best choice of the two, because this auction came with an adorable pair of US/UK chopsticks. And I'll bet more than anything they'll become a fairly valuable collector's item in time.

As for your Gijinka requests, I was able to get everything you requested, woo hoo! The post office weighed your package and you'll owe $27 for EMS shipping. And here’s your current estimate--note that I was able to drop prices on a couple of titles and bundled AMAOh's works together as a two-for-one:

//---

1. Orange "care package": $41 + $10 handling fee = $51
2. "Sono Majou No Yubisaki Hitotsu" (Hoshitamago): $12
3. "Tournez a cette place~" (B*mpoc): $12
4. "Buzz Style" (B*mpoc): $17
5. "Restraint!" and "Thought to hide" (both by AMAOh): $17

Subtotal, doujinshi and "care package": $109

Shipping (EMS): $27

Total: $136

Our Paypal address is details@thelittlenook.com, and by purchasing you're acknowledging that you're over 18 years old and not violating your local obscenity laws.

One last note about Y!J Auctions...I'm not sure if you guys knew this, but there's a threshold when bidding on items. Bids under 4,999 yen can be placed by anyone with a PC, but anything over 5,000 requires bids by cell phone or for people to be Premium members and have a credit card number on file.

Because placing a larger bid is kind of inconvenient, if you do bid on the items above the 5,000-yen threshold, your chances of winning are much higher because you'll have less competition...thanks again guys and hope to hear from you soon! :P

Just paid for it!

And yes, that's part of why we were so excited about that lot- the chopsticks!

Also, just to let you know that the three of us are highly amused that we are now being dubbed "Team US/UK."

...then again, our box of US/UK doujinshi is so full thanks to you.

Thanks again so much!

Awww, and you know I'm glad to keep filling your doujinshi box with good stuff!--and the chopsticks are unique enough that they're worth waiting for. ^_^

I sent the packaging information to the email addy listed with your Paypal account...thanks again and if there's anything I can help you three find in the future please let me know! *waves*

Haha, and it's so full. I think I might need a new box soon!

And- I just got the package today! Thanks so much! We were very excited to get a lot of these titles (and those chopsticks, of course!)

Anyways, will you be putting up your "online store" soon or should I just route any new requests through your website?

Thanks again!

WOO HOO! the_little_nook July 2 2009, 03:32:36 UTC
You guys are more than welcome, and I'm glad to hear everything reached you safely.

I'm planning on putting my store back online, but only after I've caught up on all backorders and everything's running smoothly, which might take a couple of weeks. If you have any requests for--well anything!--just send them to the email addy listed in my profile and we can work something out.

And thanks to you for being so fun to work with...and don't be strangers, all right? I always enjoy hearing from you guys! ^_^
