[Just as her last adventure began, the girl snaps out of a dream and awakens with a start, bolting up in a bed that is too small and stiff to be hers.] Wh...
[As this new reality sets in, she can only stare around the room, which seems cramped in comparison to her royal bedchamber. Swinging her legs over the side of the bed into slippers that can't belong to her, she flings back the simple bed sheets and stands, running to the window in order to let light into the dimly-lit room. The sight that meets her eyes forces a cry from her lips, and she slaps her hands down on the window sill, on the glass windowpane, and finally over her eyes.] This cannot be!! Where is Alexandria??! [She longs to call for Steiner, who often guards the door to her room, though the profound ache in her chest is demanding another: Zidane. But both men are gone, and even her Eidolons are silent. She is alone.
Her eyes water as she bolts from the room, but she pauses in the hallway because she doesn't know which way to go.
A faintly-familiar item draws her attention, and she rushes to it, nearly knocking the object off the dainty table it perches on. Though it isn't exactly like the one she'd seen, her mother had had one installed within her chambers and aboard the Red Rose. Depending on who was needed, the device could call maidservants, scholars, cooks, or soldiers. It could call for help.
She raises the receiver with a trembling hand and tries to steady her voice, though it's clear to any listener that she's crying.]
H-Hello? [Clears her throat and sniffs.] Could somebody please tell me where I am?
