[> C! Which is to say, Lenalee is browsing the coffee section, pursing her lips at the lack of selection.]

It's all instant.

[Pulls her cart to a stop before the same section, looking at some packets of tea. Her heart sinks a little; while Lenalee could do with more variety, Garnet is overwhelmed by the variety of flavors. She turns and looks curiously at her when she speaks up, expression curious.] Instant? How strange!

[starts and blinks] Ah, not really. It's easy to make when you're too busy or can't wait, but I prefer to brew.

Oh, I see. [Glances back at the shelves, now eyeing the coffee. She didn't drink coffee herself, but perhaps Romano would like some?] Does it taste better when it's brewed?

Depending on the style and beans, it does. I haven't met many people who didn't like a good cup of coffee.

[Yep, she's definitely taking some home now. Now, just what sort should she take with her.] That's interesting...I've never really tried coffee....What would you recommend?

It might take some getting used to, then. Mm, I'd go with hazelnut for your first taste of coffee.

Hazelnut. [She repeats it to herself with a smile, the name making her recall Kupo Nuts from her homeworld.] Thank you! My name is Garnet, by the way.

You're welcome, and it's nice to meet you. I'm Lenalee.

Is this your first shopping trip?

It's a pleasure. And yes, it is. I figured I should help out around home more, since a lot of the work falls on Ukraine.

She? Ukraine is a country.

Oh! Yes, she mentioned that when we first met. It is strange, but somehow she embodies her country...there are several others like her here as well.

[blinks . . . then laughs]

It really is unusual, but I shouldn't be too surprised, should I? In a place like this, it's not beyond imagination.

That's true, I have seen many extraordinary things since I came here. Perhaps in that way, Mayfield isn't such a terrible place to live.
