ADMIN :: Round 2 Posting Information

Oct 28, 2011 12:45

The time has come, my little friends, to talk of other things: of shoes, and ships, and sealing wax, and… *ahem* Sorry. *g*

Yes, it's finally here. The day you've been waiting for. Posting day has finally arrived at thelittlebang.

As soon as you see this post in your flist/circle, you are free to start posting your projects to AO3.

Note: Everyone will have until 2359 EST on Monday, 31 October 2011 to post their projects, fiction and art/video alike. We're not expecting anyone to have an issue with this, as that means you've all had an additional 2 weeks to complete and post your projects. If, for some reason, you cannot post by this time, you will need to leave a comment here as to why you're unable to comply with this extended timeframe.

Master List
Once everyone's stories and art are posted, we will go through and create a master post and link everything together. Until that time, we will keep an in-progress masterlist on the comm profile.

Posting
All stories will be posted on AO3, all videos and/or artwork will be posted as suggested below. Once you have posted to the appropriate location, you will come back here to post an announcement. More on that a little later in this post.

Our parent collection on the AO3 is The Little Bang. We have separate subcollections for round one, which is open for anyone who wrote for round one, and a challenge for round two, which is now open.

Your fanwork should not be posted publicly on the internet until it has been live with TLB for at least one month.

Specific Posting Requirements & Headers
Below you'll find the specific header info required for fiction and complements when you post your links on the community.

Your story post should contain the following header:

Spoilers: (if necessary)
Betas:

Complementers
You have two choices [or three, if you have a video] when it comes to posting your complement:
A. Post your artwork to your webspace or your LJ scrapbook. Then post to thelittlebang with the required header and a link to the story.
B. Post your art to or a file-sharing site (where it will not be deleted for inactivity, which means you will probably have to register a username). Then post to thelittlebang with the required header and a link to the story.
C. Post your vid to YouTube or another video streaming site. Then post to thelittlebang with the required header and a link to the story.

Some file sharing sites you can post to: MegaUpload, MediaFire, or Box.net

If you are planning on being that person that posts your full-sized artwork or embeds your video to your post, please put it behind a cut text. The FAQ page can tell you how to do this. If you can add a link to the light version of your post (the url with "?format=light" at the end, sans quotation marks), then we will love you forever.

We would definitely prefer a combination of A or B along with C for vids, if you can do it easily enough. :)

Your complement post should contain the following header:
Title: (including link to where your complement is stored & viewable/downloadable)
