"Sometimes I Wonder Why I Need You At All"

Whoah, 11 weeks without updating here. Can you tell that everything's gone slightly insane? Alright, you and me both know that my life is always 'slightly' insane, so let's change that to completely insane. Last time I posted, I mentioned that I had two exams coming up. Those exams were GCSE Biology and the first part of my GCSE maths exams. We'll talk about the maths first, as it was the first one I took.
The exam was on 13/11/08. The day before, I hit my left hand rather fucking hard on our kitchen door. Within minutes of doing so, three of my knuckles and two of my fingers were swollen and ever-so-slightly purple. So when I woke up the next day and my hand wasn't any better, I ended up spending three hours in the local out-of-hours clinic. Might I add that they were three wasted hours, because my x-ray was non-conclusive. I still don't know if I actually broke anything - given the fact that I still get twinges in my hand if I play guitar for too long I'm guessing I did do something... So I got given a tubigrip, then Mum drove me back to school. It was 3rd lesson by then. By the time my exam rolled around in 5th period my painkillers had worn off and I was in agony. Maybe this is why, when I got my results last Friday, I ended up with a D? That and the fact that for the three weeks before the exam we DIDN'T HAVE A TEACHER.
Butbutbut, science is a much nicer story ^__^ Because me and a couple of other kids from my French class had been chosen to represent the school at an IT/MFL event we all had to go in and sit our two Biology papers at 8AM. We had an hour to do it and were all convinced we'd failed. Then last Friday our results came. I got an A* on Paper A and an A on Paper B! I was second highest in the class, and the highest out of the kids who were in at 8AM! AND we won the weird competition at the Languages event xD Man, that was a good day!

In totally, totally unrelated news: you should all go check out REPO! The Genetic Opera. It came out on DVD/BluRay in the USA/Canada on the 20th, so anyone over there or anyone from anywhere else who wants it shipped should order a copy. I absolutely adore this film. It's got Anthony Head (GILES!), Sarah Brightman, Paul Sorvino, Bill Moseley, Ogre from Skinny Puppy, Alexa Vega, Paris Hilton(!)... it's directed by the genius that is Darren Lynn Bousman (of SAW fame) and it was written by the amazing Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich (both of whom also act in the film!). It's got organ repossession, kick-arse songs and possibly the most attractive drug dealer in the world in the form of the Graverobber - a Zydrate-peddler played by Terrance Zdunich. It's an industrial, gothic, Bladerunner-meets-Rocky-Horror rock-opera and it's like nothing you've ever seen. www.repo-opera.com. Just click the link.

All together now:
"Zydrate comes in a little glass vial!"
