I've never been a man of god - science and religion are too opposed to one another - but there are days when I find myself in need of guidance with nowhere to turn. I suppose this is one of them.

Life is full of regrets and mistakes. We humans need to fall, so we can pick ourselves up and be the wiser for it. We need our mistakes to learn from, to grow from. Without the fall we can't move forward.

But there are those mistakes that are too foul to even give name to. The ones we make because we are too proud, too foolish, too high on our own perceived immortality and power. And a lucky man can put them behind him, turn his back on them and forget. An unlucky man must face the consequences.

I suppose we all get what we deserve, in the end.

I never did have much luck.
