So I had a pretty good weekend. I went on Friday to help setup the cat show, which was prety well setup by the time that I got there, so I talked a little to the few people that were there, then went home. I washed my kitties I was taking to the show, made dinner, then waited for my parents and Kelsey to get into town, went up to their hotel, helped setup some kitty tents, and then took Kelsey to my house for the weekend. Couldn't sleep...got maybe 2 1/2 hours...then went to the cat show. Teddy did awesome, he made 3 out of 4 finals up against another exotic who was older, more mature, and owned by a very political person (read: almost impossible to beat). Tsuya made one. I got to meet my new kitten, who I named Fuzzy Navel because he is that color, and a European Burmese. Absolutely wonderful little guy. He took two 2nd Best of Breed ribbons against a class of 6 other kittens, all of which were older than he was and were more experianced with showing since it was his very first show he was old enough to compete at. After the show, took the kitties home, took a 2 hour nap, then went with parents to Chipotle for dinner. Nam nam nam...went home, waited for Barrett to get off work and come home, then called Lindsay to get Kelsey's belly button pierced. Lindsay forgot that I had told her earlier in the week that she was coming into town, so she couldn't find her piercing kit, then by the time that she found it, it was pretty late so we opted to go for some other time instead. Couldn't sleep again Saturday night...maybe 3 hours this time...got up for the second part of the cat show...and that day Teddy only made 1 final...kind of depressing...but overall he made 4 out of 8. Tsuya made two more finals, total of 3 out of 8, and Chester and Ginmei also made one apiece. The best part of the day was when Fuzzy made his very first final! 10th best Shorthaired kitten, we were so proud!! For a 4 month old kitten to make a final at their first show is a very good sign of things to come. And then he made another one! I am really hoping that he does this well or better at the next show, and if he keeps it up, he might be able to get a Regional top kitten win!! After the show, I took him home and put him seperate from the other kitties since I figured he would be scared, he just cried and cried until I came in the room to pet him. The next day, I let him out for awhile, he was hissing at everyone, but quickly got over it. He is now chasing everyone all over the house. He does the cutest things, I think that I am in love! I am calling him Fuzz'ums now for short...
