my general take on ashlee simpson-wentz is that i don't really care one way or another about her, i don't actively dislike her (though the SNL stunt was unforgivable bullshit, it was also a long time ago, and girlfriend is even younger than me), and i don't *heart eyes* all over her because she 'makes pete happy'. i don't care enough about pete wentz to like someone on his behalf. i love our evil emo marketing genius overlord, and i still love him best (though ross keeps threatening at his back), but i don't care enough to like anyone because i like him. anyway. that said, i thought she was cute at the VMAs with the "one for me, one for the baby" stunt and her gleeface, and today, I KIND OF LOVE ALL ASHLEE SIMPSON-WENTZES, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK:

and the next-to-last segment on SNL last night, the one with the two gay guys from jersey (which began with what i think was footage from one of yesterday's prop 8 protests), was kind of amazing and only cemented our belief that the amazing levels of gay in last night's SNL were in fact their form of protest.
