missi's adventures in wonderland

fantastic free clinics!: i had an appointment at the haight-ashbury free clinic on mission yesterday, and everyone was super nice and i felt well taken care of. got the 90 day script to send to wyeth and another for 14 to last until the patient assistance program sends me the supply. if i am approved. i had better be because you guys... dudes, i paid $86 for 14 pills. the math was $6.10/pill. i cannot afford that in any life.

new bus lines!: i took the 31, the 49, and the F yesterday, none of which i'd been on before. went into the mission and south of market, neither of which i'd been in before. yay for exploring! i navigated with my iPhone and nextmuni, which is *awesome* as it lists all the stops on every line so i could figure out which bus i'd need to take to get where. i win at commuting! lines i've ridden now: 38(L), 30, 31, 49, F. neighborhoods i've been in: the richmond, financial district, downtown, mission, south of market, chinatown, and north beach. i'm in/through four of those five days a week, heh.

awesome social security services!: i prepped myself for a two hour wait at the DMV and realised...i didn't have my social security card. gone. okay. so i substituted a trip for a license for a trip to get a new social, which did actually become an unexpected adventure, as when i arrived at the address where the western addition ssa should have been, it was nowhere to be found. i walked around and looked up and for signs and all of that, and i swear, guys, it was just not there. so after my clinic appt, i headed downtown to the office at mission and 7th, where my wait was nearly non-existent, and my clerk was nice and in a fabulous mood.

i love all san franciscoes!: here's to the city of san francisco v the state of california! and the votes are still being counted. oh, gavin newsom.

dear pear and four, be born now!: ahahahha, so the november calendar for bottom of the hill is amazing. the 19th is still labeled TBA, and every other day has a show or is marked closed. katie and i are all WE KNOW WHAT GOES IN THAT BOX. but obv they're not going to announce the show with ashlee being ready to pop any day now, so. I JUST WANT MY CLUB SHOW. speaking of shows, we're going to see steel train at the aforementioned venue tonight, and i have work at 8 in the morning so, y'know, spectacular.

whatevs, pyromania is fun!: so cabal tiems tomorrow are going to involve a trip to the bonfire area of ocean beach to burn sarah palin. i'm considering posting a bulletin or whatever to craiglist. "DEAR SF: LET US WELCOME THE NEW ADMINISTRATION WITH A TOAST AND AN EFFIGY." dear cabal: i have to work 'til 5, but i'll be home right after! possibly one of you will want to fetch me from north beach so that you do not have to pine for me for another hour? *bats eyelashes*

how does that even exist?!: did you know that there is a clean version of rick ross' "hustlin'"? how is that even real. but it is pertinent to some sytycd AUs i've heard about, so i'm VERY THRILLED that it does in fact exist. (but srsly? hustlin'?)

stop checking yourself out, like my president like i like my coffee, blood alcohol content, miscellanea, bandwhatever, more songs about buildings and food
