catching up
Tonight was some tv watching goodness. PR 2.13-b Finale Two and ANTM 6.01+6.02 The Girls Go Bald. Both are cut below.
The first photoshoot involved bald caps, unearthly makeup, and creepy mannequin heads ... turned backwards, for some of the girls. They did a shoot for Swarovski crystals, and the girls had them applied to their face, necks, and upper torso. They were obviously and purposefully madeup alienlike, and the look only works on so many. The thirteen photos, in order they appeared before the panel: • Sara: stunning. amazing. she is hot.
• Danielle: lovely. gorgeous.
• Jade: not loving it at all.
• Joanie: pretty, but not the best.
• Gina: the most alien of the beauties in this shoot, the most triangular face and emphasised in pose. but stunning to a degree.
• Mollie Sue: is that Pink? no, i love Pink. and this girl is not great.
• Furonda: i agree with Nigel. art, not model.
• Wendy: yes, very sad. (a Katrina evacuee, which I only mention because they do many, many times)
• Nnenna: omg AMAZING.
• Kathy: potential is the key here.
• Kari: blonde cycle 5 Nicole.
• Leslie: eh. and i expected to like her photos much more.
• Brooke: NO FACE! gorgeous girl, but NO FACE IN HER PHOTO! you can't do that!

Okay, I debated on whether I would have a lot to say about this or barely anything at all. I tend to not talk or even really think much about finales after they happen, nothing at all like the episodes before. I took a lot of notes during running commentary on tonight's watch. I think instead of making it coherent, I'll just put the babble here. Won't it be how I want to remember it? Or something. • assistants are adorable
• 13th look
• nick: "i have to finish the 13th."
• the assistants are totally all making the 13th pieces themselves
• surprise, surprise, andraé and santino are adorable. OMG DID I MISS THE STOMACH TOUCHING?
• chloe: businesswoman --> clue

• designers go see collier. the first thought this brings to mind is BRAVO PLANNED ON THE ASSISTANTS MAKING THE 13TH PIECES. WHAT WAS THEIR MOTIVE HERE.
• i hate heather's makeup, ps.
• i &hearts santino's 13th ... OMG TOUCHING
• danyelle looks amazing. it is gorgeous.
• i &hearts &hearts DV's 13th. more than i thought.
• OMG THE THREE OF THEM MAKE A PERFECT STAIRCASE.
• order (which santino's blog had spoiled me for): DV, chloe, santino
• i love the assistants so much
• santino: fittings a few hours before showtime --> clue!
• OMG ARE YOU FIGHTING AGAIN :: NICK AND DV HAVE THESE ... LOOKS/GRINS ON THEIR FACES LIKE. OMG SANTINO AND ANDRAE ARE SO IN LOVE MARRIED.
• they're all so dead. poor designers.

• oh, SANTINO'S MOM! &hearts&hearts&hearts
• heidi's runway HHMK dress is gorgeous
• DV's collection: i &hearts&hearts the print jacket. it's one of the few pieces of his i actually love. the white coat, too. the brown/sort-of-country-couture pants/blouse/vestish and the thirteenth piece i also like. but the collection's not cohesive. and in many ways BLAH. and OMG REBECCA TRIPS AND NEARLY FALLS. and her showstopper ... doesn't.
• chloe's collection: i blame the immediate conception bit on the lack of sleep. i like the opening piece much better on the model. i do &hearts the print minidress. the double print lineup is so distracting. i like the piece lesley ann is in. and i like the music. the suit is gorgeous. i like but don't love chloe's 13th. double print! 2nd time! i &hearts&hearts&hearts the showstopper. it is outstanding, and on grace... shannon!
• santino's collection: okay, i love santino's collection. quite a lot, and not even most of that is my bias. i just think it's beautiful, it's the most suited of the three to my tastes, if i could wear stuff like that. i &hearts tarah's piece. GQ loves the turquoise dress. allison! and the red hot red dress that she's in is, well, hot. heather's dress is so stunning. so so stunning. and she rocks it. but i hate her makeup. a lot. and ONLY HERS! WTF?! but santino, it was beautiful. *sigh*
• aww, kara saun liked santino's collection.
• i don't think DV's collection related either. thank you, nina. plus, AN: it was fucking boring.
• santino's was safe?! nina! wtf! it was refined. andraé, in finale one, calls santino a trial and error artist. i really think it means he literally has to make the garment wrong before he makes it right, which is why his PR pieces were much ... louder. just my apologist nature.
• NINA'S WARNING! "PLEASE DON'T HAVE A DOUBT"... the unspoken follow up to which is, obviously "... when you don't win." how nice of her to warn him that he's being la peppered.
• i did like chloe's collection. "SELL!" --> clue! it's nice. not safe, not ... the next page, either. nice. good nice. but i do think santino's was beautiful.
