This is wonderful. Oh, Sara. Such a great portrait of her, and she's such a hard character to capture. (The show doesn't even get it half the time...::cough::)

Great, great fic.

thank you so very much! sara's a complex character, and they're always throwing stuff at her. a friend of mine refers to her as her "CSI most likely to get hit in the face with a shovel," and i find that a lot of people feel that way about her. i don't. i genuinely like her. (granted, i disliked the grissom infatuation, but not because it was grissom -- because i thought she could have been a complex, heavy with issues character without it.)

all that to say, thanks!

Really great fic. You capture Sara wonderfully.

thanks very much! i worried a lot, actually, whether or not it was at all her, or if i was just convincing myself it was. i'd never written any csi: before, and i don't tend to write female characters (which was why i signed on for this in the first place), and so i was like "AM I JUST MAKING THIS ALL UP?" so, thanks a lot!

This is great. Great job with Sara and I love the way you used music. I can so see Sara being the type of person taht lives music like that, it felt wonderfully real.

Oh, this is great--thank you so much! This does feel like Sara to me. I was really interested to see what that "music" prompt brought. Viewing Sara through a Floyd lens is not something I would have thought of, and it fits her very well. Sorry it took me so long to get around to reading it. (I'm also excited to discover a C.S.I. fan in a fic-a-thon run by someone I knew first as a Buffy fan!)

i was a little afraid of the 'music' prompt at first, just because it was very general and i was all 'oooo. how do we do this.' plus you were all 'no songfic' and i was like 'well, i don't think i've ever written a songfic; also, maybe everyone's definition of songfic is different and MAYBE SHE CONSIDERS LYRIC HEADERS TO BE SONGFIC.' i am glad you do not.

i am vvv happy you think that floyd fits sara. once that hit me, it was like *headdesk* OF COURSE.

anyway, it makes me happy that i've made you happy, and i'm glad you enjoyed.

(i was first a buffy fan, a thousand years ago before the days of fandom on LJ.)

Wow. This is really well done -- Sara's not an easy character to capture, but you did a wonderful job here.
