We're heerrrrrrrre!
I can't believe we made it to our new home. It was such a whirlwind ending work, saying last goodbyes, packingpackingpackingpacking, loading the (HUGE!) truck, and driving out here. But Ben and I did it! All in all, everything went smoothly, and it was wonderful to have Mom and Dad and Mat and Sarah come down yesterday to help us unpack and get all set up.
The apartment is large and beautiful. Hardwood floors, lots of places to put things (except, unfortunately, in the kitchen), lots and lots of windows. It's in a neighborhood that, when I walk down the street, I feel like I'm in some movie about a quaint little town--that's how cute it is.
Athens is gorgeous and the weather has been, well, for lack of a better word, perfect. I'm still so overloaded with the events of the last days that's it's hard to process that a)this is actually my new home; b) I'm not in Boston anymore; and c) I'm starting medical school in less than a month.
I was asleep before 10 last night...woke up at 5:30, but at least I slept the whole night through without any trouble. I hope in the next month I'll be able to keep myself asleep a bit more.
Heading out for a run with Mom in a bit and then we're off to Cinci for the weekend!
