As of May 11, I'll have been in Boston for a year. Unbelievable! I can't believe that Ben and I will be moving soon--we've started the process of moving already--scheduling our last days at work, looking into apartments, figuring out dates for moving. As of right now, my last day is June 25! Wowza!
Ben's parents are flying in tonight and will be staying with us for a week. I haven't seen them since moving out here, and I'm SO EXCITED to have the chance to spend some time with them and catch-up.
Marathon-recovery is going well. I can tell my glycogen stores are still depleted--my legs definitely start to feel pretty awful once I get to around 5-6 miles. So I've been taking things slowly and trying to just get the most out of my runs into terms of enjoying the weather, the gorgeous spring scenery, and the early morning light. I'm doing yoga 2-4 times a week, which continues to be a source of sanctuary and centering (not to mention, core strength!).
Ben and I have had dinner with Christine (running partner turned awesome friend!) a couple of times in the past weeks and it's been so much fun! I've also done a couple runs with training buddies and I did the M.O.M.s 5 K yesterday, which was loads of fun. My legs were totally dead, but I felt okay cardiovascularly (despite fighting a lingering cold). I'm really excited to get my legs going a little bit faster and doing some more races. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to the St. Pete's 5K or some of the other summer races I did when I was still at home!
