OMG! CHRISTMAS IS COMING! YAYAYAYYA!

in other news, the interview last week was awesome! OU is a really awesome school.

Here are just a few of the things I really liked about it:
- great student/admin/prof relationships
- two different learning pathways
- lots of opportunities to get involved in the community
- they do an awesome job preparing students for clinic practice
- the school sponsors a tremendous amount of community health clinics/education
- it's in a valley and, despite half of the houses being up massive hills, it is GORGEOUS
- 22 mile LIT bike path along a river
- SWEEEEEET athletic facilities and lots of student groups
- the students seem to really love being there and seem like the kind of people I would connect well with
- cooperative learning environment - none of that bell curve/only so many people get A's stuff--it's pass/fail and lots of students work together to study/do problem steps
- really comprehensive osteopathic manual manipulation program
- opportunity to do either a Family Medicine or OMM Fellowship
- tons of research opportunities
- international programs
- small, alternative community
- realllllllly cheap to live there
- it's pretty much the Earlham of med schools

The things that concern me:
- no public transportation within the city or way of getting to the airport (this one is for Ben's sake)
- Job market isn't so hot, especially in Athens - Ben might have a really hard time finding work

I received an acceptance letter in the mail on FRIDAY!!! I have to make a decision within two weeks!!! AHHH! It's so little time! BUT! Since I already know I really really REEEEEALLLLLY want to go there, it shouldn't be too difficult of a decision. :)

Two nights ago, Ben and I went out to dinner with Rachi and her BF and I slipped and said, "the school I'm going to...." and didn't even catch it! I think maybe I've already made my decision....

I've been doing a lot of Christmas prep this last week and have been trying a lot of new recipes and I put up Christmas lights and bought a REAL wreath! Yay!
